Community of Practice
Community of Practice Gatherings are regular gatherings of Trauma Healing Facilitators providing a forum to continue the improvement of specific ministry skills, share resources, creative ideas curriculum updates and motivation for trauma healing. These virtual meetings are a great place for encouragement, team building, and getting the even most basic questions answered.
Meet Our Pastor
Pastor Don and Doreen Gordon
Don is the Pastor of Faith Christian Church of Chicago Heights, Illinois, and Executive Director of To Equip His People. Don’s ministry focuses on empowering God’s people to enjoy an authentic intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. Don enjoys ministry in the local church setting, conference speaking, individual counseling, facilitating Trauma Healing Groups, and serving as a Trauma Healing Institute Master Facilitator in the Classic and Teen curriculum. Don is also a Training Facilitator in the Generational Trauma and a Healing Group Facilitator in the Story-Based curriculum. Don is a graduate of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (M.A.R/Urban Ministry) and Eastern Illinois University, (B.A. Sociology).
Doreen Gordon serves the Lord as a facilitator of the Praying For Progeny Ministry. She has ministered in various capacities including Bible teacher, worship leader, and women's ministry coordinator. She also facilitates healing groups, trains healing group facilitators, and is a Master Facilitator with the Trauma Healing Institute. Doreen is a graduate of Northwestern University (B.A. in Economics).
